With this wonderful partnership, Javier Sánchez Medina, craftsman and restorer, wanted to transmit the essence of his Extremadura roots, providing a unique vindication of Iberian craftsmanship and rural folk art. He pays tribute to the values shared with Señorío de Montanera, tradition and old trades, the utmost respect for nature and the pursuit of excellent craftsmanship.
The result is a wonderful organic trophy of an Iberian pig. Limited to a total of 50 units, this handmade decorative piece is made from natural esparto, sewn by hand using twine and measures 30 x 25 cm. The accompanying label is made from PLA, a compostable and biodegradable sugar cane fibre with wood pulp, and includes the logo of the edition printed locally in Madrid, thus reflecting the commitment of both brands to sustainability and local production.
This exquisite piece of art also includes an Acorn-fed 100% Iberico Ham with P.D.O. Dehesa de Extremadura from an exclusive reserve of Señorío de Montanera, made from pieces from the 2018 campaign that were exceptional in terms of shape, curing process and aroma, and which have been specially selected for this edition and certified with the quality guarantee of the Protected Designation of Origin Dehesa de Extremadura. The ham can be delivered whole (7.5 – 8 kg) or sliced and packed in a protective atmosphere packaging (80 g/piece).
This unique partnership projects the understanding of the pure Iberian character in an exceptional way, in the work of one of Spain’s most renowned craftsmen, making it a highly coveted exclusive gift this Christmas.
